Mission Statement:
First United Methodist Church is an inclusive Christian community that welcomes all people through worship, study, and outreach.

Sunday Worship at First Church Tucson features a blend of traditional and contemporary elements. We approach God in ways that are familiar and at the same time fresh, alive, and creative. Our Sunday worship offerings include:

* Music – A variety of musical genres – from traditional Methodist hymns to spirituals, jazz renditions and contemporary Christian songs. We regularly feature our chancel choir, hand bell choir, guest soloists, organ, piano, percussion, and orchestral accompaniments, and a variety of other special musical offerings.

* University connection – We are proud of our proximity to the University of Arizona and our University connections. We welcome students, faculty, staff and other U of A neighbors to attend and contribute to services.

* Communion is held the first Sunday of each month. In the Methodist church, all are welcome to partake at the Lord’s table.

* A special time for children and an active Sunday School program for youngsters.

* Drama team – God’s message brought to life through dramatic interpretations of scripture.

** Message – Pastor Lujet McCullough relates the wisdom contained in ancient scripture to 21st century life and contemporary issues. Spiritual messages linked to practical theology and social conscience.

Sunday worship is followed by refreshments and fellowship in the Social Hall. All are welcome to stay for coffee - regular and decaf, tea, lemonade, snacks, and conversation.  All are invited!
