You can expect a warm, friendly greeting when you attend First Church. We understand that visiting a church for the first time can be difficult and cause for a variety of concerns. We hope that the following will help you know a little bit about what to expect if you choose to visit us.
What are your services like?
We have two distinct styles of worship:
Our 10:00 AM is our Classic or Traditional Worship. Worship is a time to slow down and invite the spirit of God to renew and inspire our lives. We welcome all for fellowship in the Social Hall following the service.
At 11:45 am is our KUMC Korean Service that is conducted in Korean with lunch following in the Social Hall.
What is appropriate attire / clothing?
Some of the men wear jeans and a casual shirt, others wear dress slacks and either a casual or dress shirt, some wear a tie. Once in a while someone will wear shorts. Many of the ladies wear slacks and a casual top and a few may decide to wear a dress. Whatever your fashion style, you are welcome!
Will I have to stand up and introduce myself?
No! You will be asked to fill out the attendance register with as little or as much information as you feel comfortable. We would appreciate knowing your name and contact information, but it is your choice whether to do so. A comment concerning how you learned about First Church would be appreciated.
Will my children be welcome?
Absolutely! Activity packets are available in the back of the Sanctuary for your children. There is also a Children’s Moment in the service.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact the church office at 520-622-6481 or email@example.com. We want you to have a positive experience if you choose to visit us.
