Another disaster has taken place as we all know with flooding in Pakistan.  UMCOR, the United Methodist Committee on Relief, is coordinating with four partners - Church World Service, Muslim Aid, Global Medic and the Church of Pakistan (a united Protestant denomination).  We at First United Methodist Church can make a difference in September.  The first call for donations will be made on September 5 and continue through each Sunday of the month.  Checks should be make out to First United Methodist church with the word "Pakistan" on the memo line.

 

 

 

           Mark your calendar for Friday, September 10. 

          That's the day the Meet 'n Eat group will start up the monthly lunch schedule

          again.  We'll meet at the Golden Corral on 1st and Wetmore at 12:30 pm.

Average attendance at worship growing from 19 to 190+ is the outcome of Rev. Maddox's work with a dedicated Sanctuary Fellowship team and a modest budget. Come and spend the second Saturday in September learning from Rev. Maddox how to think about, plan for, and be a part of growth at First Church.

United Methodist Women will meet Tuesday, September 14 at 11:00 am in the Arizona Room.  The Wesley Foundation students will talk about their summer mission trip to New York City.  Pot luck luncheon at 12:15.  All are welcome.
